STUDENTS' EXPERIENCES USING GOOGLE DOCS IN COLLABORATIVE WRITING ACTIVITY
Abstract
This study was conducted to investigate the learning process by utilizing Google Docs in collaborative writing activities, as well as to investigate students' experiences in using Google Docs as a medium to write a text collaboratively. This research used the case study method to collect data, using data derived from observation techniques, student reflections, and interviews. The results showed that all students had fun and interesting experiences in using Google Docs in collaborative writing sessions, they also recognized that Google Docs helped their writing work and helped them improve their writing skills. The learning process with Google Docs also went well because the teachers and students were familiar with Google Docs and could quickly operate and apply it in the collaborative writing activity, the students collaborated on this project, putting their unique thoughts into one whole writing. The students' reflections also stated that Google Docs and collaborative activities should be applied to every writing material.
